SchoolTrade, an educational development
initiative in which better resourced
schools provide teaching support to
disadvantaged schools in an effort to
improve subject knowledge and up learner
results in Science, Biology and Maths.
Recently, in a twinning intervention,
teachers from Pietermaritzburg Girls
High (GHS) reached out to the Gobindlovu
Comprehensive School in rural Vulindlela,
who is determined to improve its matric
results. GHS Biology teacher Barbara
Watt and her colleague, Elaine
Smallbones (Maths), conducted Saturday
classes and liaised with their
Gobindlovu counterparts to learn from
each other and to share resources. |
