Largest Cylinder Manufacturer at Electra Mining

Hytec Engineering will be reinforcing its status as the largest cylinder manufacturer in South Africa at the Electra Mining Africa 2008 Exhibition. The company will be showcasing a range of cylinders at the exhibition.

The company boasts an extensive repair facility that includes chroming and grinding, housed under one roof. This facility comprises a state-of-the-art workshop and covers 4 000m2.

Hytec Engineering has also taken over a 600m2 workshop facility on-site at its Durban premises that the company shares with Hytec Durban.

Intermot Radial Piston Motor

Being one of the few cylinder manufacturers and repairers in South Africa, Hytec Engineering offers full-design capabilities. Further, it does not manufacture cylinders without drawings, offering a reverse engineering service where appropriate. By importing its own raw materials, comprising honed and unhoned tubing, chromed shafting and seal kits, Hytec Engineering offers unrivalled lead times and competitive pricing. With representation in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique and Ghana, the company has vast experience in “Repair to Standard” solutions on mining and earthmoving machinery.

Hytec Engineering will also be showcasing sister company, Hytec’s newly added range of Intermot Radial Piston Hydraulic Motors. These Italian-manufactured motors are a direct replacement for Calzoni and Staffa motors.
